What is it the users are doing where <font> is being added to the editor, and how can I stop it from happening.

Example:

<font color="inherit" face="inherit" size="-1"

Hi Steve,

When the font name and font-size are changed in the Editor a style tag is added to change the element font and font size:

Could you please provide more details about the issue with adding the font tag as I am not sure I understand it correctly? What are the steps you are following when the tag is added? This will help us to understand the issue better and advise you further.

Looking forward to your reply.

Boss says he just typed content into the editor, was a bulleted list he didn’t paste from word (he says).

Theres a couple places on the site in seeing this as well. The inherit seems to turn the text green is how it’s becoming visible as an issue. I haven’t fixed it in css until we can find out why it’s happening.

As a note my editors only have headers and basic tools, nothing to change font.

Hi Steve,

I am still not able to replicate the described behavior on my side in a Dojo or our Demos. I will highly appreciate it if you could send us a Dojo example (you can modify the one linked here if it is more convenient for you) where the Editor is configured the same way as on your side and the issue can be replicated, so we could investigate it locally.

Could you please confirm if the issue occurs in all the browsers or in a specific one? And also if you manage to reproduce the behavior in our demos?

Looking forward to your reply.

Regards,

Neli

I can't as it's happening in Sitefinity 14.3, and it's not me doing it... users aren't smart enough to edit the html and add <font> tags onto random elements.

Hi Steve,

Linked here you will find a screencast of the behavior on my side in the Editor in Sitefinity 14.3. As you will see, when a bulleted list is created and text is entered the text has no additional font tags applied and the font color has not been changed. Please let me know if there are any specific steps I need to follow to replicate the issue.

In addition, what I would suggest you to remove all the Sitefinity extensions and test the behavior.

Regards,

Neli

Here's his response

--------------

I’ll try to replicate later. But chrome on a Mac with latest OS. Just using the editor, no copy paste or toolbar tools

--------------

I'll let you know how his testing goes...
