I need to be able to see a different MarkerType per SeriesGroup in a LineSeries on my graph. For one of the groups I want a square, for the other I want a circle. I need to be able to set this in the Standalone Designer. Unfortunately, as far as I can tell this property is not available in ConditionalFormatting anywhere nor in any Bindings but I could be overlooking it.

Is it possible to set the MarkerType to one of the built-in types for each group in a LineSeries or do I have to make wholly separate series?

It is currently not possible to set the MarkerType of the series conditionally. There is a feature request for this functionality to which I have cast your vote to increase its functionality and to ensure that you will receive a notification when the functionality is implemented - Add an option to set a marker type based on expression.

With that being said, there is a workaround that you may use right now which is to use the DataPointConditionalFormatting property to set the BackgroundImage to a square, circle, etc. image based on a condition. I have attached a sample report that demonstrates this approach.

Thank you for the confirmation that this is not currently possible and the sample workaround.
