As I could see the legends in any Kendo Chart, all the legend items are placed one by one (according to the available space and placment). Is it possible to group them in a tabular format so that we can specify the legend area to be 3 x 2 or 2 x 3, to get more professional look & feel. I have attached a sample to explain the same.

I am afraid the described functionality is not supported in Kendo UI Chart, however it sounds good and I will suggest to send it as a feature request at our UserVoice page. This way the community would be able to evaluate it and if the suggestion gains popularity we will consider its implementation for future releases.
Meanwhile, you can disable the default legend, create HTML <div> element and configure it to look like a legend.

Could not find anything on this topic within feedback, roadmap...
A tabular legend would be very helpfull especially if you compare data within a chart.
Tabular legend example for four series of two different timespan that are compared:
01/01/2012 - 12/31/2012: series 1 series 2
01/01/2013 - 12/31/2013: series 3 series 4

I am afraid the implementation of the described functionality is still not planned. Actually a similar idea has been already submitted at Kendo UI UserVoice page so if you wish you may cast a vote, leave a comment or monitor the community's interest in it here. The more votes the suggestion collects, the higher priority will have.
